She looked at Evana and then at her boyfriend. Moments later, Bethany felt a pang at her chest. Bethany smiled softly as she watched Teddy wave one last time.Īnd even though Teddy was mostly believing that she herself had imagined the both of them talking to her in her head, she also kind of knew their was something more magical about it. She placed her hands over his and they stared at the retreating car. Zach hugged Bethany from the back and placed his chin on her shoulder. He wasn't sure how the girl would act, but he needed her to know that she was going to be missed.įrom the rear window of a car that was driving away, Bethany and Zach noticed Teddy turning around and giggling as she stared at them, star struck. "Bye." She waved at them and got herself up onto her car, refusing her mothers help because she was a 'big girl' already. "Okay," Teddy smiled and hugged the couple at the same time, her tiny arms barely being able to do so. Especially not the ones of a three year old baby. "I'll make her visit you too, kid." Zach promised, much to Bethany's dismay. Zach chuckled, Bethany chuckled and even Evana snickered from the shadows. Or I'll hate people who put ketchup on pizzas because they remind me of her." "You have to bring her, okay? Don't let this be the last time I see her. "What? You have to visit me too!" It was like Teddy sensed Bethany was saying goodbye. But, she also didn't want Teddy to be expecting her and then have her possibly not show up. "Um-I don't-I don't know, Teddy." She wasn't about to tell a two year old about how she might turn into an evil witch-literally-in a matter of days. "Are you excited for Zach to visit you at your own house next time?"īethany flinched. Even Bethany thought it harder than she expected. She kind of just had a feeling that he was the total opposite of Tony, and she liked that for Teddy.Īs Teddy was getting ready to leave, Zach was preparing to say goodbye. Alyssa and Zach exchanged numbers and she even sent him her address on the spot. Zach still mentally slapped himself for it. Surprisingly, Alyssa didn't catch on that he knew her last name without being told what it was. Whenever he wants, just as long as he gives me a heads up before showing." What if I promise that Zach will visit you very soon?"Īlyssa looked hesitant, but eventually caved. "Don't let her take me, Zach!"īethany kneeled to meet both her boyfriend and his baby sister. "No! I wanna stay!" Teddy was stomping her feet and had her hands crossed across her chest. Please, let me stay longer."Īlyssa glanced from Zach, to Bethany, and down at her daughter. "And we both know that, but your mommy doesn't." "I know-I'm a pretty great guy." Teddy nodded at Zach's words and Alyssa seemed to relax just a tiny bit. "I think your mom is kind of worried right now. "Hey, Teddy Bear," he smiled when the little girl did too, it was a new nickname he had started using on her. Zach sighed and squatted down to meet Teddy 'hiding' behind Bethany. She nodded her head towards Teddy who was clinging on very harshly. But right now, she's pissed off and just wants her kid. Maybe you can talk Alyssa into allowing visits, or something. Zach had barely met her a few hours ago, it felt too soon to possibly never see her again. Bethany smiled down at Teddy but their was a worrisome look on her face.īut she doesn't want to go. Babe, you might wanna help convince Teddy that she has to go. To everyone's surprise, Teddy shook her head. Bethany reached the door and seconds later felt Teddy hugging her legs. Sixteen years was not nearly enough to understand the motherly rage. She kind of reminded Bethany of Angela from The Office (U.S.A.) when she would get mad.īethany glanced at Evana and whispered, "stay hidden, I should help him out." He didn't have much experience with mothers after all. "What the hell are you doing with my daughter?" She questioned, smoke practically coming out of her ears. "And you must be Alyssa." Said Zach, as he opened his motel room door and faced an angry mother. We need a new plague." -Dwight, in The Office (U.S.A.)
